PURPOSE:To obtain plural records at once and to utilize effectively recording paper, by outputting picture signals in a memory after they are processed by enlarging, reducing, partially extracting, multiplexing, etc., in accordance with the indication information from an indication section. CONSTITUTION:An operator inputs the size of an original 101 from the keyboard of an indicating section 7. Further, the operator operates the indicating section 7 so as to output as originals of four sheets against recording paper 102. Indication information is given to a control section 6 from the indicating section 7 in accordance with the operation. The control section 6 makes the transmission of picture information by a prescribed procedure with opposite side facsimile equipment possible through a modulating/demodulating section 11. In the course of the procedure, the control section 6 takes in the length information of the recording paper 102 sent from the opposite side facsimile equipment and calculates and processes the reduction rate of the picture signals and output circuit of the reduced picture signals based on the length information of the original 101 and information that the original 101 is outputted as originals of four sheets. |
