PURPOSE:To always maintain prescribed print speed by providing allowable width in the timing of print start within a range where a print range of one page can be housed in an effective photosensitive plane corresponding to the size of a sheet in a carrying direction, and controlling the timing of the print start at the earliest time within the allowable width at the time of issuing a request to print. CONSTITUTION:By providing the allowable width in the timing of the print start, it is possible to start the print immediately if it is within the range of the allowable range DELTA even when the tip PS of the effective photosensitive plane passes through a write position at the time of inputting a print instruction to a CPU53 via a character generator/controller CG/CL64, an interface 65, and an input/output control circuit 58, therefore, it is not required to wait until the next PS comes to the write position. Therefore, an average waiting can be shortened, and a prescribed throughput can be maintained, and also, the print speed can be increased. |
