PURPOSE:To produce a superconductive layer evenly throughout the whole length and to increase the mechanical strength by applying a heat treatment to diffuse Cu in a coverage layer formed at the outer surface of a base material, A element, B element, and Cu of a mixture layer, and A element or B element of an addition layer each other, to produce a superconductive layer, in the manufacture of an A-B-Cu-O system oxide superconductive material. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacture of an oxide superconductive material of a general formula A-B-Cu-O (where A is one or more of the periodic table group IIIa elements such as Y, Sc, La, Yb, Er, Eu, Ho, and Dy, B is one or more of the periodic table group IIa elements such as Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba), a coverage layer consisting of Cu is formed at the outer surface of a base material to produce a covered material. Then a mixture layer is formed at the outer surface of the covered material to obtain a complex material. This mixture layer includes A element, B element, and Cu in a specific ratio. Furthermore, at the outer surface of the complex material, an additional layer including either A element or B element is formed to produce a laminate material. By heat-treating the laminate material, the elements are diffused each other to produce an oxide superconductive layer. This heat treatment is divided into two processes, the intermediate heat treatment and the final heat treatment. |
