Non-planar honeycomb structures may be produced by bonding tubular elements together. The elements may be varied in their properties and character, for instance by length, thickness and material. Hexagonal tubes of polyetheramide are cut to various lengths and have their ends angled so that when placed together, their assembled ends form surfaces of desired profiles. The tubes are pref. between 50-20O micrometres in wall thickness and pref. are of inscribed dia. between 3-6mm. The tubes are coated on two sides with epoxy adhesive and are assembled so that internal hexagonal shapes described by assembled rings of six tubes are left empty, rather than being filled with a seventh tube. The structure is completed by bonding sheet material to the tube ends.
