A foldable seat of the kind for use with foldable baby strollers is formed of a laminar assembly. A series of flat, slat-like rigid elements are disposed adjacent to each other in the direction of the length of the seat back. On one side of each of the slats, foam material is preferably disposed. The front and back of this arrangement are covered with two flexible sheets. The sheets are joined together along separation zones between the slats. The combined assembly is sufficiently rigid and permits folding.
