PURPOSE:To prevent the early destruction of the surface of an image carrier drum by making a press-contacting power of the end part area of at least one processing member which abuts on the image carrier drum to the part of the image carrier drum facing said part weaker than the press-contacting power of other part of the processing member to the part of the image carrier drum facing said part. CONSTITUTION:The electric layer part 3a of the part of a photosensitive drum 35 and its neighboring part 36 facing the end part area 32 of a cleaning blade 15 is more softly formed and more easily deformed than the elastic layer part 3b in other part of the photosensitive body in a circumference direction. Therefore, the press-contacting power of the end part area 32 of the cleaning blade 15 which abuts on the photosensitive drum 1 to the part 35 of the photosensitive drum facing it is made weaker than that of other part cleaning blade, that means, the central part 34 in the longitudinal direction of the blade, to the part of the photosensitive body facing it. Thus, excessive stress does not occur on the outer layer part of the part of the photosensitive drum facing the leading edge part 33 of the blade 15 and the early destruction in this part can be prevented. |
