The leather agglomerate, esp. applicable in upholstery, is made by (a) milling leather scraps to obtain a crumb; (b) mixing with an agglutinant:; (c) applying to one or both faces of a textile carrier (d) drying in a hot air tunnel; (e) buffing with an emery wheel until it feels like suede. Alternatively, the aggregate is passed through 'thousand needle' rollers- (f) for grain leather appearance it is painted, lacquered and dried; and (g) transpirable coagulated polyurethane is applied as a paste or self-adhesive film.
