Filling control for water stills

The device interrupts the distn. process by cutting off the current and the feed water (11) to still (8), when the distilled water level in the receiver (7) activates a sensor. This consists of a tube (3) closed at the bottom by a plug and provided with some holes. Inside the tube floats a ball which rises with the water level until it actuates an optical switch by reflection. The switch is connected to the control unit (9), which in turn controls the water supply (11) to the still and the electrical supply to the heating elements (10).
