The additive, for gas oil, petrol and fuel oil, improves combustion, reduces pollution and increases output from i.c. engines and/or burners, producing fuel savings of over 8%. It consists of a mixt. of organic components which is added to and dissolved in the fuel in ratio of 1:1000. The above effects are brought about by prodn. of very short-lived and highly-detonating organic peroxides at the moment of combustion which contribute atomic oxygen.
