Coin device for the car consists of a casing, a coin holder 1 and a drive mechanism. The coin holder, which can be rotated about its spindle 11, has angled coin compartments 10 and can be set in motion by means of a drive mechanism. This consists of a projecting protuberance 13 fixed on a round disc 14, below which there are flaps 15 which engage in a plate 18 which is provided with upwardly directed teeth 17 and is fixed on the top disc of the coin holder. The casing has a coin outlet 4 which opens into a chute 15 and can also serve as a coin intake by virtue of the rotatability of the casing. When the device is mounted, one is located below the other. The protuberance has a square cross section 19 corresponding to a recess 20 of the same shape in the casing. By means of this arrangement, the drive mechanism is retained in its position when the coin holder is set in motion. Around the spindle, there is a raised portion 23 in a fixed bottom plate 3, corresponding to a hollow 24 in the bottom disc of the coin holder. The object is to reduce the friction between them. To check the number of coins in the device, there is on the top disc of the coin holder a pin 25 which is visible through holes in the periphery 7 of the casing.
