Tooling selector in a press. The tooling selection device includes at least one selector comprising: . a slide 14 guided and controlled in horizontal rectilinear displacement and having, locally, at least one ramp 28 whose profile extends in the vertical plane, . a rule 30 for hammering at least one tooling plate, mounted resiliently in the vertical plane, and including a counter-ramp 29 with a profile complementing that of the ramp, in order to interact with the latter, . and a jack 19 for control in horizontal translation of the slide in order to displace the hammering rule 30 vertically and place it in a position of actuation or non-actuation of the tooling plate.
