This device consists of two perforated plates 11, 12 equipped with complementary transverse undulations constituting a succession of ridges and hollows 13, 14; 15, 16, respectively, and capable of being joined together after interposition of a lock of hair. The lower plate 11 is equipped on at least one of its undulations 13, 15 with a transverse opening 21 capable of permitting the passage of a lock of hair. On the edges of each of its ridges 13, the lower plate 11 has a tongue 19 capable of permitting the securing-together of the two plates 11, 12 after these have been positioned on the hair, by means of an elastic band or the like. <IMAGE>
