PURPOSE:To enable character information and image information of desired color to be transferred to a printing mechanism as printing information which can be printed as identifiable one by providing a color designation information input means, a color designation selection means and a video signal synthesizing means. CONSTITUTION:A color designation command is entered from a host computer 1 or a display panel 3, and then is latched into a color designation command latching circuit. Monochromatic synthesized printing information is entered from the host computer 1, and when the synthesized printing information is character information, a character generator 4 refers to printing character code and converts the character information to a font pattern. When the synthesized printing information is not character information, image information is developed into a bit map memory 6. When color is not designated for the character information by a color designation command stored in the color designation command latching circuit 5, said circuit judges whether color has been designated for the image information. If the color is not designated, the circuit transfers a monochromatic synthesized video signal to a printer 12. If the color is designated, the circuit judges whether the color is color A. Then when the color is designated, the circuit designates the character information as color B and the image information as color A. After this, these informations are converted to synthesized video signals by a character and image synthesizing circuit 9, and the synthesized video signals are transferred to the printer 12. |
