PURPOSE:To obtain a toner superior in fixing performance and durability, by mixing resin or polymer fine powder with colored resin powder having a particle diameter >=10 times as large as that of the former powder, treating them in a hot air stream to form them into spheres, and strongly coating the fine powder on the surfaces of these colored resin spheres. CONSTITUTION:A resin, such as sticky soft polyolefin is kneaded with magnetite, etc., pulverized, and classified to make 10-25mum size colored powder, A 0.1- 1mum size fine powder of a hard resin, such as polystyrene, or a polymer, such as oxidized starch, 10pts.wt. is mixed with said 100pts.wt. powder, the mixture is atomized in a heated air stream to form spherical toner particles with said fine particles strongly sticked to the surfaces of these spherical colored particles, thus permitting the toner obtained to have no problem of offset to a pressure roller, not to cause separation of the core mateial from the shell material, to be superior in durability, and to form a high quality image. |
