The method comprises the cultivation of the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis in a photoreactor (4) which is continuously supplied (18, 12, 11, 6) with CO2 and with nutrient substrate (14, 11, 6) containing nitrates, the ratio C/N in the culture medium being such that 2 </= C/N </= 120 at the end of the growth of the microalgae, the C concentration in the culture medium being from 0.22 to 12 mg/l and the N concentration in the medium at the end of the growth being close to 0 and at the beginning of the growth being from 40 to 120 mg/l. |
