The present invention relates to a support 10 for steerable antenna 28 intended to be mounted on the roof 12 of a motor vehicle, comprising: - a mount 11, - a cylindrical knuckle joint 14 provided with an axle of rotation, - a metal plate 13 for supporting the knuckle joint, and - a cover 29. The support according to the invention is characterised in that: - the axle of rotation of the cylindrical knuckle joint has at its ends two wings 24 substantially perpendicular to this axle, and which are intended to come into abutment forcibly (with friction) against rims 22 carried by the metal support plate, in seats defined by the perimeters of the said orifices 26 made in these rims, and - the cylindrical knuckle joint 14 abuts, with friction, onto a small parallelepipedal bar 16 arranged beneath the knuckle joint.
