<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a tape from being damaged by detecting a rotating direction of a capstan and controlling a reel motor in relation to the tape take-up condition. CONSTITUTION:A rotating direction detecting means 80 for outputting a reverse rotation signal during at least a reverting time of the capstan to its forward rotation after detecting the rotating direction of the capstan 12 under rewinding reproducing; is provided to connect the reel motor 6 on the supply side (in this case, take-up function) to the take-up side under said circumstances. In this circuit constitution, at the time of closing and after opening a rewinding reproducing switch 74, the rotating direction detecting means 80 outputs the reverse rotation signal 81 during the reverting time for the capstan 12 to the forward rotation. By this method, even at the time of rewinding reproducing, and even after opening the rewinding reproducing switch 74, the tape can be kept under non-slackening state, thus preventing the tape from being damaged due to deviation from its traveling course.</p> |
