PURPOSE:To prevent the dispersion of paper feed amounts, by a method wherein, the action of a paper feed means is transmitted to a platen within a frictional transfer force by power transfer means to rotate the platen, but when the paper feed action by the paper feed means is stopped the inertia force due to the rotation of the platen is cut where it increased beyond the range of the frictional transfer force of the power transfer means. CONSTITUTION:A torque transmitted from a toothed belt 32 to a collar 38 is transferred to a platen shaft 8 through engaging teeth 45, 46, an intermediate member 43, and a friction plate 42 of a friction member 41. The transmission of a torque more than a frictional transfer force between the intermediate member 43 and the friction plate 42 is cut by the slip between the both. Therefore, the torque is transferred to a platen 7 within the frictional transfer force to rotate the platen 7. When a printing paper is fed by a predetermined length and a drive motor 21 is stopped, the platen 7 slightly rotates by its inertia force. This torque transmitted to the collar 38 within the range of the aforesaid frictional transfer force is too small to rotate rollers of first and second roller mechanisms 11, 25; therefore, a paper feed means is prevented from conducting a paper feed action due to the inertia force. |
