PURPOSE:To produce a strip having good shape by rolling, by finding solid phase ratio of semi-solidified slurry from molten metal temp. in a stirring device providing molten metal flowing rate adjusting device and rolling load, finding molten metal pouring rate from the solid phase ratio and number of revolution of the stirring device and making viscosity of the semi-solidified slurry suitably. CONSTITUTION:A tundish 9 and the stirring device 10 providing a valve 49 adjusting flowing rate of the molten metal are contained in a vacuum chamber 11 and one pair of rolls 1, 2 are provided at downstream side of the stirring device 10. The stirring device 10 arranges stirring rods 15, 16 and a temp. detector 48 in a casing 14 and a number of revolution detector is fitted to the stirring rod. Further, a loading member detecting the rolling load is arranged to the roll 2. Then, a first computing element 41 inputs the rolling load and the temp. by the temp. detector 48 to find the solid phase ratio of the semi-solidified slurry. A second computing element 42 inputs the solid phase ratio and the number of revolution of the stirring rod to find the molten metal pouring rate and the flowing rate adjusting device in the stirring device 10 is inputted and opening of the valve 49 is changed to make the optimum molten metal pouring rate, and the viscosity of the semi-solidified slurry is made to suitable and the slurry is stably supplied to the rolls 1, 2. |
