The invention relates to a method and a device for making models for a dental prosthetist. The prosthetist has two half-frames 8 and 9, between which he places the impression or "bite" taken by the dental surgeon. On either side of this bite, he pours, inside the window 12, two measured quantities of hard (stone) plaster. It is then sufficient for him to assembly the two half-frames 8 and 9 together, press them against each other, and wait for the simultaneous hardening of the two measured quantities of plaster, in order finally to obtain the two half-models 30 and 31. Application: ease of use, better presentation of the models, perfect precision in the positioning, advantage of working on a disassembleable model. <IMAGE>
