The generator of jittery signals comprises a generator circuit G and a control circuit C. The generator circuit includes a local oscillator 1 and a voltage-controlled oscillator 2, and after filtering 4, delivers a jittery signal SG. The voltage-controlled oscillator 2 is controlled by the control circuit C which compares 10 the phases of the jittery signal SG and of a clock signal and delivers a control signal; the clock signal impresses its frequency on the jittery signal. A phase modulating signal SMP can be added to the control signal so as to vary the phase of the jittery signal with respect to the clock signal. <IMAGE>
