HYBRID HUMAN PROTEIN C AND BIOTECHNOLOGICAL SYNTHESIS THEREOF

PURPOSE:To produce hybrid human protein C having strong action to inhibit blood clotting, by replacing a part of the amino acid sequence of human protein C with the amino acid sequence of a protein depending on blood-clotting vitamin K. CONSTITUTION:The amino acid sequence containing Gla domain of human protein C is substituted with the amino acid sequence containing the Gla domain of the protein depending on human blood-clotting vitamin K through the biotechnology using DNA coding the vitamin K-depending protein to give the hybrid protein in which the No.1 through No.43 amino acids are replaced with the amino acid sequence from No.1 to No.43 in prothrombin, human blood-clotting factors VII, IX or X.
