Process for the preparation of optically active alkenes

Optically active alkenes are prepared by oligomerisation of olefins of the formula CH2 = CHR where R = alkyl C1-C10 in the presence of an optically active catalyst system comprising an optically active transition metal compound which only contains one enantiomer (R- or S-form) of a chiral transition metal compound and an aluminium-containing compound of the aluminoxane type at temperatures between 0 and 150@C.
