Composition for the treatment of paint-containing effluent, and process for the preparation thereof

The invention relates to compositions for the detackification and treatment of effluent containing residues of paints and paint waste from spray booths. These compositions comprise inorganic/organic and/or organic polymer alloy adducts of the formula A . B<+> . C . D<+>, in which A is an inorganic complex of alkali metal silicates and mixed salts or hydroxides of divalent or trivalent metals, B<+> is an organic complex of diamines and cationic groups containing heteroatoms, C is a complex organic polyamide-polyamine, and D<+> is a polyquaternised polymer. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of said products and to the detackification and treatment of paint-containing effluent with removal of the paint residues.
