The invention relates to a cutting tool (I to V) which has a carrying member which can be driven (rammed) into the soil and extracted from there, a cutting head at its bottom end, and an injecting line serving to feed the filling material. The essential feature of this cutting tool consists in the fact that the maximum width dimension (K, L, M), lying in the same direction as the longitudinal direction of the trench wall to be constructed, of its cutting head (2) fabricated from steel plate and advantageously having a height dimension decreasing to the outside exceeds the width dimension (k; a), lying in this direction, of the carrying member (11).
