PURPOSE:To obtain the title absorbent which is excellent in heat resistance and durability and does not form sediment even after a long-term use, by dissolving a specified mixture of lithium halides in water. CONSTITUTION:An absorbent for absorption refrigerating machine is obtained by dissolving a mixture of 1pt.wt. LiBr with 0.1-1.0pt.wt. LiI and 0.05-0.50pt.wt. LiCl in water.
