Tablets contg plant-extracts and standardised essential oils have anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, astringent, regenerative and biostimulating effect in the dental-maxillary region. The prepn promotes bone-growth and is indicated for gum-infections and secondary, superficial or deep-rooted chronic paradentitis both of atrophic and dystrophic nature. Standardisation of the activities of formulating ingredients prevents under- or over-dosing ensuring optimum pharmacological effect. A proposed formula contains: Horse-chestnus extract: 8%; Hypercum extract: 7%; Corn oil: 5% and essential oils of chamomile; 1%, pine: 0.6%, sage: 0.4%, caraway seed: 0.4%, eucalyphus: 0.4% and in addn: sorbitol: 72%, saccharin: 0.4%, aerosol: 1.6%, talc 1.4% and magnesium stearate: 1.8%.
