A cover for an outdoor circular tank (10) used for fish farming comprises a net stretched over four or more supports (12) of which the lower ends are supported by a rim of the tank and the upper ends are interconnected (16) over the tank centre. The supports (12) are arched upwardly between their ends providing working room for a fish farm worker standing in the tank near its edge. The bottom net edge is reinforced (18) and tensioned onto the rim by clips (19). Access is either by lifting a portion of the bottom edge of the not or through a detachable flap. The cover provides useful shade for the fish whilst keeping the netting well away from the water surface thereby avoiding stressing the fish. The netting also excludes predators, snow and leaves, significantly reduces wind effects on the water surface, and stops fish from jumping out. <IMAGE> |
