<p>PURPOSE:To move a mouse without lifting the mouse from a table and without exerting influence upon the movement of the cursor on a display screen by providing the titled device with a means for inhibiting the output of a pulse to the outside. CONSTITUTION:The mouse input device is provided with an output control means 7 for controlling whether a pulse corresponding to respective moving distances of X and Y axes of a mouse body 1 is to be outputted to the outside on the basis of mouse operator's selection. When the mouse input device is moved and its space on a table can not be secured, the mouse operator executes operation such as the depression of a pushbutton. When said operation is executed, the means 7 inhibits the output of a pulse corresponding to the moving distance to the outside even when the mouse body 1 is moved on the table. Consequently, the mouse can be rearranged on a position to which the mouse can be moved under a state not lifted from the table and then can be moved again in the same direction.</p> |
