PURPOSE:To obtain a device with a wide range of light control and without moving stripes in an inverter type discharge lamp using AC power supply with restless section by providing with a first light control means without tube current stop section and a second light control means with stop section. CONSTITUTION:A discharge lamp 3 which serves as a load to an inverter circuit 2 oscillated by a DC power supply 1 without restless section. When impedance light control system or frequency light control system is used as a first light control means of this lamp, a light control with high lighting efficiency is attained since no rest section generates in a tube current. When a power supply fattened light control system is used as a second light control means, no moving stripe generates even in the case that circumferential temperature is low since rest section generates in tube current. It is thus possible to enhance freedom in setting light control ratio and also to prevent generation of moving stripes in performing light controlling. |
