NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE BATTERY

PURPOSE:To keep a negative active material in a normal position by fixing the negative active material of a cylindrical battery formed by spirally winding a positive electrode and a negative electrode with a separator interposed at at least two positions to the separator with sticking material. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical battery is formed by spirally winding a negative plate 8 using metallic lithium as active material and a positive electrode with a seaprator 11 interposed. The negative plate 8 is fixed to the separator 11 at least two positions with a sticking agent 12. The sticking agent 12 is formed by mixing silicone rubber with an organic solvent. By this method, the negative plate 8, or the negative active material is wound with its normal position kept without dislocation of relative position to the separator 11. Short circuit with the positive plate and the penetration failure of an electrolyte are prevented and the battery is normally operated.
