<p>PURPOSE:To provide a recording liquid containing a water-soluble dye, an aqueous medium and a specific compound, having excellent quick-driability after recording, quality of printed letter, recording characteristics, storage stability and resistance of recorded image to light, weather and water and useful for ink-jet recording or writing utensils. CONSTITUTION:The objective recording liquid contains (A) a water-soluble dye (e.g. C.I. Direct Black-154), (B) an aqueous medium (e.g. water or ethylene glycol) and (C) a compound of formula I [R<1> is H or (substituted)alkyl; R<2> is (substituted)alkyl; X<-> is anion; n is 100-5,000]. The amount of the component C is preferably 0.5-20wt.% and the pH of the recording liquid is preferably 6-8. The composition is preferably further incorporated with a surfactant, urea, thiourea, biuret and semicarbazide.</p> |
