PURPOSE:To obtain a herbicidal composition for paddy field, containing the specific third component as an active ingredient and capable of exhibiting excellent herbicidal effects and residual effect properties on weeds in the paddy field before germination and in the growth period. CONSTITUTION:A herbicidal composition containing (A) methyl 2-[(4,6- dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)aminocarboxylaminosulfonylmethyl] benzoate or N-[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)aminocarbonyl]-4-methoxycarbonyl-1-met hyl-5-pyrazole sulfonamide, (B) S-(alpha,alpha-dimethylbenzyl)-1-piperidinecarbothioate, benzothiazol-2- yloxy-acetic acid N-methylanilide, etc., and (C) an organic phosphorus based or dinitroaniline based herbicidal compound as an active ingredient. The above- mentioned composition is suitable for soil treatment after transplanting young seedlings of paddy rice to main paddy field and both foliar and soil treatments after the transplanting. |
