Date Mar. 26, 1987.A movable seat arrangement for a vehicle includes a base plate having guides which define a curved path for a beam and which support the beam so that it can travel along the curved path, the beam in its turn supporting a seat in such a way that the seat can travel along the beam, whereby the seat can travel along the beam until a position near to the edge of the vehicle is reached and the beam may then be extended along the curved path to carry a passenger in the seat clear of the vehicle.
