PURPOSE:To prevent a crack and a chip from being generated in a gap part when width of a track is small by providing the layer of a non-magnetic member such as glass or a resin, etc. on a step part of a magnetic head core. CONSTITUTION:The titled magnetic head is constituted so that a core 2 which is formed in the same way as usual, and consists of magnetic ferrite having a layer of reinforcing glass 4a in a step part for controlling the track width TW is inserted into a groove 3 provided on the medium outflow end side of one of two pieces of slide rails 1a of a slider 1 consisting of a non-magnetic material such as ceramics, etc., and joined by embedding use glass 4c whose melting point is lower than that of core reinforcing use glass 4a. In such a way, even if the track width becomes smaller in order to improve the recording density, it does not occur that the gap part is cracked, and the core is chipped or broken. |
