PURPOSE:To enhance the clearness of a developed color image, by providing a layer comprising an iron (III) compound on a specified base. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent brightener and a colored dye and/or a colored pigment having an absorption peak wavelength of 550-705nm are incorporated in a base on which a layer comprising an iron (III) compound is provided. The iron (III) compound may be, for example, a single, composite or mixed iron salt of an organic phosphorus compound having a P-OH and/or P-S bond, a carboxylic acid, a thio-acid, a dithio-acid, an organic sulfur compound having an S-OH bond, or a siloxane compound such as polyferrophenylmethylsiloxane. The fluorescent brightener is preferably a stilbene fluorescent brightener, particularly of the triazinylamino type, in view of the effect thereof. The colored dye and/or colored pigment may be one or more of known basic dyes, acid dyes, direct dyes, synthetic inorganic pigments or the like. |
