PURPOSE:To remove bubbles located near an injection port which cause the lowering of an electrophoretic separation performance, and thereby to prevent the lowering of said performance, by sucking out a buffer liquid in the reverse direction to the direction of sample injection. CONSTITUTION:A sample injection system is constituted of an electro-phoretic tank 1, a sample injection port 2 (2a-2c), a sample injection pump 3 (3a-3c), a selector valve 4 (4a-4c), a non-buffer liquid vessel 5, a sample vessel 6 (6a-6c), a sample injection tube 8 (8a-8c), etc. Three injection systems are switched over, i.e. first a buffer liquid is sucked up from the injection port 2, together with the air in the vicinity of the injection port 2, and the air is exhausted into the atmosphere through the selector valve 4, while the buffer liquid is discharged therethrough into the vessel 5, in a process of drawing off the air in the vicinity of the injection port 2 and in the tube 8. Thereafter a sample is sucked up with the buffer liquid as a leading liquid, and thereby the air held between the buffer liquid and the sample is removed. At a time point when the electrophoresis is ended, the sample is collected and the inside of the sample injection system is washed. Since the three sample injection systems are provided and each process is allotted to each of them, whereby the sample can be replaced ceaselessly so as to implement electrophoretic separation. |
