PURPOSE:To display two or more pieces of information, display many functions with a few switches, and to use the switches themselves also as a displaying panel by lighting up one or two or above of arranged plural displaying segments selectively. CONSTITUTION:An LCD displaying panel 3 and a push button switch 4 are fixed on the upper surface and lower surface of a substrate 2 of a switching device 1, respectively, and an operating board 5 is arranged at the upper surface side of the substrated 2. A transparent window 6 is arranged corresponding to the panel 3 in the middle of the operating panel 5. Between an external input terminal Din and an external output terminal Dout for inputting information and outputting information of the electric circuit of the device 1, a shift register 14 for a display and a shift register 15 for a switch are interposed in parallel through switching circuits 12 and 13. Respective registers 14 and 15 are shift-controlled in synchronizing to a clock from a clock input terminal CK, data input/output are executed in synchronizing to a strobe signal from an R/W input terminal, and the actions of the registers 14 and 15 are switched by the circuits 12 and 13.
