PURPOSE:To enable the correction of the migration speeds of respective lanes by a delay coefft. at the time of reading the DNA sequence by previously storing the difference in electrophoresis speed by a standard material as the delay coefft. into a memory. CONSTITUTION:The reference material is poured into all the lanes of a gel and electrophoresis is executed prior to reading of the DNA sequence. The difference in the electrophoresis speed (delay coefft.) is then calculated in an arithmetic part 40 and it stored in the memory 5. The difference in the electrophoresis speed (delay coefft.) stored in the memory 5 is called out and the electrophoresis speeds of the respective bases are multiplied by this delay coefft. and are thereby corrected in the arithmetic part 4, by which the wrong reading of the DNA sequence is prevented.
