PURPOSE:To enable to extract air safely and easily from a hydraulic rush adjuster, by constituting a tool to extract air from the adjuster, which supports the foot of a rocker arm in a valve driving mechanism from underside, of a push-rod which moves backward against the tension of a spring when the predetermined pressure is applied to the rod. CONSTITUTION:An hydraulic rush adjuster is constituted in such a manner that a plunger (c), which is provided with a lengthwise oil pit (a) and a check valve (b) which is provided to the lower end of the oil pit, is inserted into an outer plunger body d, freely movably to the forward direction against a spring (e), and the pressure oil is introduced into the oil pit (a) from an inlet port (f). When the air being reserved in an oil cell (g) in front of the plunger (c) in the adjuster is extracted, first, a rod 4 that is an air extracting tool is inserted into the oil pit (a), so as to be positioned at the back of the check valve body b1 of a check valve (b), and the valve (b) is opened by the rod 4 when it is slightly depressed. At this time, the force acting to a cage b2 through the valve body b1 is absorbed by the backward movement of a rod 4 against a spring 5, in order to prevent the cage b2 from being damaged. |
