SLAVE TIMING STATION DECISION SYSTEM

摘要

PURPOSE:To detect whether or not a cause to disabled normal testing is due to the slave timing by detecting a frequency of a reception timing and a frequency of a transmission timing of a DTE interface signal of a modulator/ demodulator and deciding, an error between both the frequencies. CONSTITUTION:A transmission timing and a reception timing are given to a device 14 mounted externally from a modulator-demodulator 2 via DTE interfaces 8, 9. A decision section 12 checks whether or not the frequency error detected by a detection section 10 to detect the frequency from the transmission timing and a detection section 11 to detect the frequency from the reception timing exceeds a preset value. As a result, when the error does not exceed a preset value, it is decided that the mode is the slave mode. Thus, if an error is caused by a loopback test, whether the cause is due to setting of the slave timing or due to a fault of a modulator-demodulator is dewarcated.
