摘要 PURPOSE: To rapidly polish a metal surface of an object with high accuracy by using a relatively polishing sodium media specified. CONSTITUTION: Aggregate of the components including a large amount of objects having relatively rough metal surfaces, and a solution for converting the metal surfaces into the soft configuration, are stirred to generate the relative motion among the members, the metal surfaces are continuously kept in a wetted state by the solution, and all the exposed metal is converted to refine the surface. On this occasion, a large amount of relatively non-abrasive solid media is mixed in the aggregate, and the amount and size thereof are determined to be a value for accelerating the relative sliding motion among the mediums and to the objects in a stirring state. The media are made of an oxide grain mixture which is fused to the aggregate, and substantially not including the separated abrasive grains, and the aggregate/includes about 60-80 wt.% of aluminum and about 5-30 wt.% of silicon on the oxygen-free basis. Further the bulk density of a large amount of media is at least 1.70 g/cm<3> .
