The invention relates to hydrophilic block copolymers of vinylidene fluoride, of an amide containing terminal unsaturation, such as N,N-dimethylacrylamide and (optionally) of an alkyl methacrylate such as methyl methacrylate, together with the process for their production. Application to the production of ultrafiltration membranes.
