PURPOSE:To obtain a compound body having high heat resistance, fire resistance, heat insulating property, sound shielding property, heat retaining property, and sound absorbing property by integrally bonding a calcined product of a mixture of distillation residue of petroleum or coal base low quality oil with glass fiber to a porous body. CONSTITUTION:Mixed oil consisting of at least one kind of petroleum or coal base low quality oil is distilled in the presence of at least one kind of metal or metal compd. The residue of the distillation is mixed with glass fiber, and the mixture is calcined. The title compound body consists of the calcined product and a porous body bonded integrally to the calcined product. The low quality petroleum base oil to be used is heavy oil, waste oil, low class petroleum, naphtha, petroleum tar, etc. The coal base low quality oil is coal tar, etc. Preferred metal or metal compd. is Sn, Pb, or their compds. Suitable porous body is glass wool, urethane foam, asphalt foam, woven fabric, nonwoven fabric, etc. |
