PURPOSE:To facilitate multiplexing and miniaturize the circuit by synthesizing the sampling outputs of two input signals, driving a laser diode with this synthesized signal, and adding an output from a laser diode whose emission wave length is different to said diode. CONSTITUTION:In a first sampling means 210, sampling with a prescribed pulse is applied to input signals 1. Also, in a second sampling means 220, sampling with a pulse whose phase is shifted off the first sampling pulse by 180 degrees is applied to input signals 2. Thereafter, the outputs from the means 210, 220 are synthesized by a synthesis means 300, and the first laser diode 110 is drived with the output of said synthesis through a drive circuit 400. In the means time, the second laser diode 120 whose emission wave length different from that of the diode 110 is modulated with a pulse synchronized with the pulse period of the former mentioned sampling, and thus the diode 120 is turned on/off. An optical output from the diode 120 is inputted to the diode 110 from its one side surface, accordingly, an output whose wave length varies for the signal 1 and the signal 2 can be obtained from the diode 110. |
