PURPOSE:To increase reflectivity and to prevent the deterioration of a substrate by a solvent by providing an under coating layer consisting of V2O5 or the oxide contg. V2O5 as matrix on a substrate and further, providing an optical recording layer thereon. CONSTITUTION:The under coating layer consisting of V2O5 or the oxide contg. V2O5 as the matrix is provided on the substrate 1 and further, the optical recording layer 3 consisting of a dye or a mixture composed of the dye and binder is provided thereon to form an optical recording medium. The reflectivity of the layer 3 increases and the reproducing of the recorded information is facilitated; in addition, S/N increases as well according to the recording medium constituted in such a manner. Since the layer 2 exists, the deterioration of the substrate is prevented even in the case of forming the layer 3 by a wet coating method. |
