PURPOSE:To enhance photosensitivity and fixability by incorporating a specified disazo pigment in a resin containing a thermoplastic resin as a main component. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive toner high in photosensitivity and fixability is obtained by incorporating in particles composed essentially of the thermoplastic resin at least one of the disazo pigments represented by formula I in which A is a group combining 2 nitrogen atoms to form a heterocyclic aromatic ring; B is a coupler residue represented by one of formulae II-VII; Z is an atomic group necessary to form an optionally substituted aromatic hydrocarbon ring or an aromatic hetero ring; G is optionally substituted carbamoyl or sulfamoyl; R1 is H, optionally substituted alkyl or the like; each of R2 and R3 is optionally substituted alkyl, such aralkyl, or such aryl; and Y is arylene or divalent cyclic group having N in the ring. |
