<p>The ends to be welded of tubular parts (1a, 1b) are melted by heat radiation of a heat reflector (3). Due to the bevelling (10) at the end of the pipes and the arrangement of shielding plates (4), a temperature profile decreasing from outside inwards is produced. The triangular melting zone (15) thereby produced gives a welding bead just on the outer periphery when the two tubular parts (1a, 1b) are joined together in a controlled manner, so that the throughflow cross- section is not reduced. <IMAGE></p> |
