<p>PURPOSE:To execute the uniform heating treatment of peripheral faces of a work having different radii of curvature by rotating the work with its axis of rotation horizontally supported, and oscillating and moving back and forth a work coil for heating the coil to allow always said coil to oppose to the outside peripheral face of the work. CONSTITUTION:A cam 60 which is the work having the outside peripheral faces 61 of different radii of curvature is gripped by a chuck 14 at the front end of the output shaft 13a of a rotating mechanism 10 and is rotated around the horizontal axis by driving of a motor 11. Furthermore, the cam 60 is moved back and forth by driving of a motor 22 of a forward and backward moving mechanism 20. On the other hand, the work coil 70 and a jacket 71 are oscillated within the perpendicular plane by driving of a motor 36 of an oscillating mechanism 30 and is moved back and forth by driving of a motor 41 of a forward and backward moving mechanism 40. The operations of the above-mentioned motors 11, 22, 36, 41 are controlled in accordance with the position signal 18 of the cam 60 from a proximity sensor to bring the front end face of the work coil 70 to the position opposite to the outside peripheral face 61 of the cam 60 and to maintain the detaching size between both. Furthermore, the supply of high-frequency electric power for heating to the work coil 70 and the supply of quenching oil to the jacket 71 are controlled.</p> |
