PURPOSE:To quickly and accurately position a movable mirror and to simplify parts by selecting plural fitting grooves provided on positioning plates, which constitute a mobile mirror moving device and face each other, to switch the moving position of the mobile mirror provided in the optical path of a Michelson interferometer. CONSTITUTION:When an impulsive incident light lambda1 is made incident through an optical fiber, it is branched into two by a semitransparent mirror 1 and one and the other are returned on the same optical paths by an elastically supported fixed mirror 2 and a mobile mirror 3 respectively and are superposed one over the other by the semitransparent mirror 1 and are emitted. This emitted light is outputted as delay pulses lambda2 and lambda3 because of the difference between two optical paths, and a prescribed delay time is obtained if the mobile mirror 3 is moved at this time. The mobile mirror 3 is supported by a holder 4 provided with a junction piece 7 on the outside wall, and the holder 4 is moved forward or backward by the mobile mirror moving device. That is, this moving device consists of a pair of positioning plates 5 facing each other, and fitting grooves 6 are provided on their faces facing each other at intervals of a length determined by a minimum time measure of the delay pulse, and the junction piece 7 is inserted to these grooves to move the mobile mirror forward or backward. |
